Membership fees.
Full Membership
- $40 for the first adult
- $20 per additional adult family member
- $10 per additional junior* family member
- $20 for an individual junior* membership
$80 maximum for a family.
*Juniors are those not yet 21 as of December 31 of the current year.
Introductory Membership
- $10 flat rate, adult or child.
The intention of this membership is to allow someone to try the sport out, at a reduced cost, without committing to a full membership, which can come later. As we wish to use this option to encourage people new to the sport to get involved, we are actually fairly flexible with additional costs.
There would be a small charge for training events (which are free to full members). Reduced rates to the club's own events would not apply.
Map copyright charges
- $1.50 per map for non-profit organizations, such as schools and scouts, who are running meets that promote the sport.
- $2.50 per map if the meet raises money for the organization itself and for government and commercial organizations.

Mapping Mapping committee should be encouraged to put mapping to tender and that club members be eligible to bid. Anyone scouting an area for potential mapping should submit a report of their findings to the mapping coordinator to avoid duplication of effort.Cost structure for B-meets

B-Meets
Meet directors should endeavour to retain scale, legend, contour intervals and north arrows on maps. In addition the B-Box should have some basic legends available.
All meet directors and controllers must have at least level 1. At least one of the two must be a club member and both must be members of COF or IOF.
Each meet should have a qualified controller. It is the responsibility of the controller to look at the courses prior to the meet and to make any suggestion that he/she may have to the director/course planner. The controller will verify locations for controls and will check as many controls as possible, especially difficult controls or ones the director would like to have checked. The controller will be present throughout the meet and will assist in any way needed. On the day of the meet, the meet director should be entirely free. He/she should have 2 helpers for registration and one for timing.
Maps will be pre-printed for all events
Standard B meets should all have 3 courses: novice, intermediate, and advanced.
Mileage given to club members who do mapping some distance from the city will be reimbursed at the rate of $0.15 per kilometre.
SportIdent: a $35 charge will apply to lost SI cards and this fact will appear on the Stars OC website.
Dogs: Participants in club meets will be discouraged from bringing their dog(s) with them on course. An appropriate notice should appear on the website.
