Winter Adventure Race

Race Types

Three races are being offered:

The main Adventure Race, with winning times of around 3 hours. Courses will close after approximately 5 hours.
A Ski-O event, which will have an advanced and a beginners option, with the beginners receiving more detailed instructions on how to finish the course.
An O-Snowshoe Score event, primarily intended for beginners (at least as far as navigation goes).

Registration

Please pre-register with us in advance to ensure a pre-marked map is reserved for your use.

Participants must be full or recreational members of Orienteering Ontario or an affiliated club for the current year, or COF, USOF or IOF members. 2008 basic annual OOA memberships will be available for $5 at the event, or you might wish to sign up with your local club prior to this event. An OOA membership will be required for all Ontario orienteering events in 2008.

Cost

Adventure race (team of 3)

Early Bird	Before Dec 26/07	$130/team
Normal Price	Dec 27/07 - Jan 14/08	$150/team
Late Entry	Jan 15/08 - Jan 23/08	$170/team

ENTRY FEE covers the event fee, trail fee, post race food and snacks, and registration costs.

Ski-Orienteering race or O-Snowshoe Score (per event)

Normal Price	Before Jan 14/08	$26/person $16 age 20 & under $12 age 14 & under
Late Entry	Jan 15/08 - Jan 23/08	$28/person $18 age 20 & under $14 age 14 & under

ENTRY FEE covers the event fee, trail fee, and registration costs.
Snowshoe rental is included, while supplies last, or bring your own and save $10.
Lunch can be purchased at the Mansfield Outdoor Center for $5 per person.
Rental SI cards will be available for an additional $2 / person.

Stars members will receive a discount.

Accomodation will be available at the Mansfield Outdoor Center.
