Update: Snowshoes will be permitted during the race, due to the snow being forecast by Sunday. If you have you own, please bring them. For others, Adventure Guide has been kind enough to make 20 pairs of their rentals avaliable on a first-come, first served basis. They will be available for free at the race.

Huron Natural Area is a large forested park right in the City of Kitchener. This venue has never been used before for orienteering. Mapping here was started by Gators Orienteering Club and finished by Stars Orienteering Club members.

The SPORTident system will be used for this event. For those who have not purchased one, SPORTident e-cards will be available for sale or rent ($2.50 for the day).

Key Times 9:30 - 10:20 - Registration and waiver formalities
10:30 - Mass start.

Please remember: this day is the start of Daylight Savings Time. You'll miss the start if you forget.

Format Typical Thomass format, with some twists. Expected winning time is 50 minutes, with a maximum of 90 minutes. The actual length of this run will depend upon a participant's handicap (see Thomass Overview).

Directions From Highway 401 take exit 275, travel north on Homer Watson Boulevard for approximately 6.5 km, and make a left on Bleams Road. Go about 2 km, then left again (there will be an O-flag here) on Trillium Drive for 0.5 km. Park on the side of the road. See the green arrow on this Google Map.
