Stars Orienteering Club

Training / Short Orienteering Clinic

Location	Bechtel Park, Waterloo
Time	14.00-15.30/16.00
Cost	$10 / person -- which includes the training session, and introductory Stars membership for 2007/8, Free for Stars members.

Plan for the day

Basic Instructions on map and compass (15 minutes).

Group training (max 6 people/group) (beginner level skills) with former North American & Canadian Champion Nick Duca (approximately 35-45 minutes), including map reading, contour reading, route choice.

Short training on Bechtel Park map (pre-training for the Thomass Series).

Directions

Follow highway 85 north and exit at University Ave East. Go to the first set of lights and turn right on Bridge street, then after 100 m turn right again into Bechtel Park. Meet at the back parking.
